Join Us for Our Informal Foster Parent Recruitment Drop-In Events
Are you considering fostering and want to learn more about what it involves? AFA Fostering invites you to our friendly drop-in events, where you can find out more about fostering and discover how rewarding this role can be. There’s no need to book, and anyone is welcome to come along!
Our team will be present on the following dates:
- Thursday 20th February, 1-3pm
- Tuesday 18th March, 1-3pm
- Thursday 17th April, 1-3pm
- Thursday 15th May, 1-3pm
- Thursday 19th June, 1-3pm

During these drop-in sessions, you’ll have the chance to meet our dedicated team, learn about our fostering services, and discover the support we provide to foster families. A foster parent will be present at most of these events to share their personal journey and experiences, and a direct one-to-one chat can also be arranged with our foster parents who are eager to share their insights with you.
You can find out more about what it’s like being a foster parent, including the rewards and challenges that come with this fulfilling role. Our team will be on hand to answer any questions you may have about fostering finances and allowances, training, attachment, and more.
Enjoy complimentary tea, coffee, cakes, and biscuits while you chat with our team and ask any questions you may have. We will also provide a brief presentation outlining who we are at AFA and our approach to fostering, covering key topics that you might find helpful.
